1. What We Collect

Alt Me collects the information you provide when creating your account (email, display name) and the content you upload to build your Alt Me (documents, connected source data). We also collect basic usage analytics (page views, conversation counts) to help you understand your altme's reach.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your uploaded content is processed to create embeddings that power your Alt Me's responses. We do not use your content to train any AI models. Your data is used solely to operate your altme and provide the service.

3. PII Protection

Before any content becomes part of your altme's knowledge, it passes through our PII detection system. Sensitive information (emails, phone numbers, addresses, financial data) is flagged for your review. You decide what stays and what gets redacted.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) enforced on all tables. OAuth tokens for connected sources are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

5. Third-Party Services

We use Anthropic's Claude API to power chat responses, Supabase for database and authentication, and Resend for transactional emails. Your content is sent to Anthropic only when visitors chat with your altme, as part of the RAG context.

6. Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. You control the visibility of your profile (public/private) and agent access settings. You can disconnect any connected source to stop syncing.
