Alt Me is an AI version of you — trained on your real work, writing, and expertise. It can answer questions about your skills, experience, and projects the way you would, so anyone can learn about you without needing to schedule a call.
A chatbot helps you do things — write emails, summarize docs, answer general questions. Your altme IS you. It doesn't have general knowledge; it only knows what you know, grounded in your actual work. It represents you to other people — recruiters, collaborators, or anyone curious about your expertise.
LinkedIn is a static database you fill out — bullet points, job titles, endorsements. Your altme is a living representation that people can actually talk to. Instead of scanning a profile, someone can ask your altme detailed questions about your work, your approach, your thinking — and get real answers.
Anything about your professional expertise — your technical skills, projects you've worked on, your approach to problem-solving, your experience with specific technologies, career highlights, and more. Your altme answers based only on what it has learned from your uploaded work and profile.
Anything that represents your work and expertise — resumes, project write-ups, blog posts, design docs, code repositories, presentations. The more you upload, the better your altme represents you. You can start with just a resume and improve over time.
Absolutely. You have full control over what your altme can and cannot share. Sensitive information is automatically flagged before anything goes public, and you can review and remove any content at any time. Your altme only shares what you explicitly allow.
No. Your data is used exclusively to power your altme. It is not used to train any general-purpose AI models. Your expertise stays yours.
Yes. You can delete individual documents, your entire knowledge base, or your full account at any time. When you delete something, it is permanently removed from our systems.
Your altme is designed to only answer based on what it has actually learned from your uploaded work. If it doesn't have enough information to answer a question, it will say so rather than fabricate an answer. Every response is grounded in your real data — verified, not invented.
When your altme answers a question, it draws from specific documents and data you've uploaded. This means every claim is traceable back to your actual work. We don't let the AI embellish or generalize beyond what your data supports.
Alt Me is currently in beta. The core experience — uploading your work, building your profile, and sharing a live altme — is fully functional and being used by real users. We're actively improving accuracy, adding integrations, and refining the experience based on feedback. You can start using it today, and it will only get better.
We are. Alt Me takes full responsibility for the security of your data. Your documents are encrypted at rest and in transit, stored on secure infrastructure, and access is strictly limited to what's needed to power your altme. We do not sell, share, or expose your data to third parties.
Alt Me is accountable. If there's ever a data issue, a privacy concern, or your altme shares something it shouldn't — that's on us. You can flag any issue directly, and we commit to investigating and resolving it promptly. Your trust is the foundation of this product.
When you delete your account, all your data — documents, embeddings, profile information, and conversation history — is permanently removed from our systems. There is no retention period. Once it's deleted, it's gone.
You can have a working altme in about 5 minutes. Upload a resume or a few documents, and your altme is ready to go. You can keep improving it over time by adding more content and refining your profile.
Yes — Alt Me is free to start. You can create your altme, upload documents, and share your profile at no cost.
You can upload PDFs, Word documents, text files, and more. We also support connecting Google Drive, GitHub, and other platforms so your altme can learn directly from your existing work.
You get a unique profile link that you can share anywhere — on your website, social media, email signature, or resume. Anyone with the link can start a conversation with your altme instantly.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard that lets AI agents and tools programmatically access your altme's knowledge. This means your expertise can be discovered and queried not just by humans, but by AI systems looking for domain experts.
Yes — you can embed a chat widget on your personal site, portfolio, or company page so visitors can interact with your altme directly without leaving your site.
Keep adding new work — project write-ups, blog posts, presentations, code. You can also answer training prompts that help fill gaps in your profile. The more context your altme has, the more accurately it represents you.
Yes. You get full visibility into the conversations people have with your altme. This helps you understand what people are curious about and identify areas where you might want to add more content.
